Unfortunately, my brother is correct. While beautiful, they are hot hot hot. Not sure why, I've eaten this variety (Easter egg) before and they've been very mild. What is it in the soil that makes radishes hot??
I don't think it's the soil as much as the moisture the radishes receive as they're growing. At least I've read that they will be too hot if they didn't get enough moisture while forming the root. Could that have been the case in your area?

You know, I never liked radishes, but feel compelled to plant them every year. Yours do look nice though!
