Must be a Minnesota thing, we always played ping pong at my grandparents house too :)
And maybe an Illinois thing, too. We had a ping pong table in our basement when I was growing up and as a teenager I never had trouble getting guys to go down there to play. (It definitely was the ping pong table, not me.)
