Simply makes my mouth water! I bought some lettuce today and as I was cleaning it I thought, "This doesn't even LOOK like the lettuce I get from my garden." If only I had known we were going to have such a warm, long, glorious fall this year, I could have had a whole raised bed (under a cold frame) still full of lettuce, spinach, radishes . . . oh, stop me before I start crying.

P.S. Do you ship??

Lettuce is what I LOVE about fall! Yikes, it might be one of my favorite crops overall!

Hi Mama Pea -- Yeah, I shoulda worked harder to thin (and cover) my self-seeded lettuce. This was a collection of the largest leaves I had. Shoulda woulda coulda. And I'll ship you lettuce, if you ship me one of your quilts! (I think I'd need to ship 500 lbs of lettuce to make up the worth of one quilt!)

Hey Erin -- Yes, and now that I know how easy it is to grow, we'll be seeing it a lot more in the garden!

Thanks Liz! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your garden this winter!

Thanks Tammy! Ooo, I really need to send you my farmer essay. Soo sorry I'm such a slacker! :( Have a great Thanksgiving!
